HOST FAMILY OPPORTUNTIES

My name is Moriah Davis and I work for Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a nonprofit that brings international high school exchange students to the U.S.

I’m reaching out in hopes you might help us find host families for two amazing students, Noha from France and Doruk from Turkey, who love reading! Perhaps you or someone you may know in your network would be interested in hosting students?

Noha is 18 years old and dreams of owning his own bookshop one day - he loves reading and translating. He is also passionate about music and piano and enjoys playing with his cats.

Doruk is 16 years old and loves reading, especially comics. He loves Marvel and Batman specifically. He also enjoys Formula 1 racing and any racing video games.

Two fantastic students arriving in a couple of weeks: Meme from Germany and Sophia from Brazil.

Meme is 16 years old, plays the violin, likes to paint, and write. She loves being creative! Meme also enjoys badminton, hiking, swimming, and spending time with her cats.

Sophia is 17 years old and enjoys acting, theatre, and singing. She also enjoys math and science. She says her friends describe her as "personification of the Sun"!

Host Families Provide:

  • A welcoming home (room can be shared)

  • Three meals a day

  • A seat at the table and a spot in everyday life

CIEE Students:

  • Bring their own spending money and full health insurance

  • Have strong English and academic prep

  • Have year-round support from our local and national staff

  • Attend the high school nearest their host family

Would you be willing to share this opportunity to host within your community? The students are coming for the 25-26 school year, and host families can host for the entire duration, the first semester, or first 2 months.

Thank you for your support!

Warm regards,
